Started going here years ago when I loaded up my van one Saturday to take kids to water park and found that I had a flat. It was my second one in 24 hours and I hadn't had time to get my other tire fixed and the full size spare was on already. I drove a block to Mayfair tire who told me it would be three hours until they could get to me. I explained that I lived at the end of the block and where I was going and that all my kids were in their bathing suits crying. He said that they couldn't spare the time to plug my tire. I drove the van around the corner to Savage and explained what just happened at Mayfair Tire. They stopped what they were doing and fixed the tire in 5 minutes. When I asked how much Tad said I was having a bad enough day and that there we no charge and to go enjoy my day out with my kids. I brought over a couple of pizzas that Monday and got my oil changed. I haven't used another mechanic since. They have been honest and attentive. They have even rigged my ignition when it broke so I could take my van to the VW dealer because it required a special tool and he didn't want to charge me for a tool he might not ever use again. They are great neighbors and a great place to deal with.

why has no one else reviewed them? it all started many years ago, when my tiny granny took her car in. it was stalling. when they called her after the repairs were done, they explained it was just a $3 part and they were not going to charge her for labor. what? they could have told her anything. what does she know about cars? because of how they treated her, weve all been going there since. most recently, my car needed some things. well, a lot of things. sometimes when i go, they laugh at me for being so clueless, but still never take advantage. thats why i dont mind letting them know im clueless. i actually trust them. i have always said, plumbers and mechanics are the biggest thieves. they have us by the balls and can tell us anything and we have to pay. these guys have been around forever for a reason. they are busy all the time because of it. we all need to get our car serviced. why not spend our money in businesses that deserve it?
